<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a spare charger for charging a filter capacitor by mounting a device for blocking discharge to a discharge circuit for the filter capacitor. CONSTITUTION:When service is interrupted in a stringing when a regenerative brake is worked, a switch 8 is closed, and a brake resistor 4 is connected to an inverter. When service is interrupted during the coasting of an electric rolling stock, the charges of a filter capacitor 5 being charged under the state of power running before the service interruption are discharged. When charges being charged to the filter capacitor 5 are all discharged at that time, a rheostatic brake is not operated because the exciting voltage of a main motor is removed. consequently, discharge blocking devices 91 and 92 are fitted to all filter capacitor voltage discharge circuits, thus preventing the discharge of filter capacitor voltage. Accordingly, the rheostatic brake can be operated smoothly.</p> |
