PURPOSE:To improve reliability and safety by connecting a current-limiting element in series with a diode for protection between a base and an emitter for a switching transistor. CONSTITUTION:An inverter device is constituted of a DC power supply 1, a resonance circuit I, a switching transistor (hereinafter called Tr) 2 operating the circuit I, a damper diode 3, a separated exciting type drive circuit 18 for the Tr 2, a diode 13 for protecting reverse voltage between an emitter and a base for the Tr 2, etc., and supplies load 6 with high-frequency currents. A current-limiting element 19 having a low resistance value is inserted in series between a cathode for the diode 13 for protection and the parallel circuit of a speed-up capacitor 14 and a resistor 15 at that time. Accordingly, regenerative currents id flowing on the OFF of the Tr 2 can be reduced, and a self-excited oscillation mode can be prevented.
