Combined targetting and resection device

The COMBINED TARGETTING AND RESECTION DEVICE (CTR device) is intended for the axially accurate, adjusted insertion of the stemless, CEMENTLESS, ROTATIONALLY-STABLE COMPRESSION HIP ENDOPROSTHESIS (CRC prosthesis) in the neck stump of the femur. After alignment, the CTR device is fixed on the lateral femur with a cortex screw. Exact resection of the hip head is ensured by application of the resection device. At its end near the femoral head, the resection device has a dovetailed recess in which the resection template is movably guided. Osteotomy is carried out along the resection template. After insertion of the CRC prosthesis, this guarantees exact fit over the entire circumference of the femoral neck.
