PURPOSE:To enable a gas passage to be shut off when a leakage of gas is detected by a method wherein a gas inlet valve and a solenoid valve are arranged in a gas passage communicating with a gas inlet port of a valve main body to a main burner. CONSTITUTION:A gas inlet port 17 is formed at a side surface of a valve main body 16, both a gas passage 10 and a main gas passage 11 are formed by an intermediate wall 18 and a partition wall 19 or the like and a pilot gas passage 12 is formed at a base end of the main gas passage 11. A gas inlet valve 13 and a solenoid valve 14 are arranged within the gas passage 10, and an intermediate valve 15 is arranged within the main gas passage 11 at the downstream of the pilot gas passage 12. The gas inlet valve 13, solenoid valve 14 and intermediate valve 15 are concentrically arranged to cause the solenoid valve 14 and the gas inlet valve 13 to be operated in conjunction therewith. With this arrangement, since the solenoid valve and the gas inlet valve are arranged within the gas passage at upstream of the pilot gas passage and the main passage, no gas leakage is generated.
