PURPOSE:To eliminate the mistaken deletion of an inputted document by providing with a key-in means, a display means, and a means detecting that at least four specific keys in the key-in means are depressed. CONSTITUTION:Document information is sequentially inputted in a RAM 13 from a keyboard 15, and the stored documents shall be controlled not to be easily deleted. Namely, when the document input starts in a document input mode, the first function key is checked whether it is keyed in. If so, the second function key is checked to be keyed in. If so, the third one is checked to be keyed in. If so, the fourth one is checked to be keyed in. If the fourth is keyed in, the first - fourth function keys are simultaneously inputted. A CPU 11 clears the data stored in the RAM 13, and returns to the state where it monitors the key-in key input from the keyboard 15.
