<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting of contact pressure of a brush and confirm a contact condition by forming a subassembly in advance by incorporating in a sleeve a fixture mounted in advance with a potentiometer main body, a slip ring and a slider from an axial direction. CONSTITUTION:A potentiometer main body 2 is built in a sleeve 1. Then, a slip ring 6 is set to the sleeve 1 coaxially with the potentiometer 2 and a slider fixture 8 attached with slip ring slider 7 is built in the sleeve 1. In this condition, that in which the contact pressure and the contact condition of a brush 2b and the slider are examined and checked is made as a subassembly. By building in the subassembly in this condition between an input shaft 11 and an output shaft 12, the potentiometer can have a stable contact pressure and can be in a stable contact condition and a highly reliable steering torque detector can be obtained.</p> |
