PURPOSE:To reduce an installation area and improve working efficiency, by engagingly arranging a plurality of swifts with element wires wound around them in a lengthwise direction with respect to a longitudinal shaft in a multi-stage and shaping and gathering the respective element wires by drawing out them by an unwind end holding means and a drag-in means. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of swifts with element wires wound around then are engagingly arranged in a lengthwise direction with respect to a longitudinal shaft and pivotally engaged. A reverse-L-shaped support member 17 is slidably engaged with a horizontal support arm 16 at the upper end of the shaft. Clamp rollers 21 are mounted on the horizontal portion of the arm at its locations confronting the element wires 2 of the respective swifts and a plurality of lock metal fittings are also attached thereto and engaged with drag-in cylinders 31 of drag-in and transfer units 23 disposed in front of them. When the element wire is held by an unwind end holding roller 21, the arm 17 is dragged in by the cylinder 31, the element wire 2 is gripped by a transfer drive roller 27 and inserted into a conduit tube 9 by driving a motor 25. Then, it reaches a shaping and bundling device. With such an arrangement, an installation area is reduced and manpower is not necessary.
