PURPOSE:To enable an efficient error correction by controlling the alternate write and read of two faces of buffers and correcting the read-out data with correction information detected already. CONSTITUTION:Selectors 2-1, 2-2 are controlled by the FF 8 responding to the command of a computer and the data read out of the disk unit which is via a disk control circuit 1 is written into the sector buffer 3-2 controlling the write and read alternately as well and this data is processed by a correction circuit 5, Simultaneously, the data written on a sector buffer 3-1, etc., are read and outputted via the selector 2-2 and outputted by being corrected by the error corrected position register 6 detected already and the error correction information of a correction pattern register 7. In these ways, an efficient error correction is performed with the continuous output of the error correction data excluding the time necessary for the error correction only.
