PURPOSE:To obtain an imitation leather having excellent surface characteristics such as stain-resistance, water-resistance, abrasion-resistance, etc., by forming a layer composed of a resin having siloxane bond in the molecule on a surface of a substrate sheet. CONSTITUTION:A surface of a substrate sheet composed of various woven fabrics, nonwoven fabrics, etc., is coated with a resin layer having a thickness of 0.1-100mu and composed of a resin containing a residue of polysiloxane polyol of formula (X is amino group or hydroxyl group; R is bivalent aliphatic, aromatic or alipharomatic group, especially 1-2C alkyl or 6-10C aromatic group; R' is 1-6C alkyl) and having an average molecular weight of 500-10,000 in the polymer main chain, preferably polyurethane resin and/or polyurea resin (containing about 2-60pts.wt. of siloxane bond in 100pts.wt. of the resin). An imitation leather having excellent surface characteristics such as water- repellency, abrasion-resistance, antiblocking property, etc., can be produced by this process.
