PURPOSE:To obtain a dry-type integrated analytical element for the determination of lactic acid dehydrogenase activity, usable in an inexpensive visible range spectrophotometer and having high analytical accuracy, by using NAD<+>, a lactic acid salt and a buffering agent as essential components of at least one water-permeable layer and using the layer in combination with an enzymatic reaction system for preventing inhibition of enzymatic activity. CONSTITUTION:NAD<+>, a lactic acid salt and a buffering agent are used as essential components of a porous carrier and/or a water-permeable layer contacting with said carrier via a liquid. An integrated dry-type analytical element for the determination of lactic acid dehydrogenase activity can be produced by using the porous carrier, etc., in combination with an enzyme or an enzymatic reaction system capable of removing the lactic acid dehydrogenase activity-inhibiting action of pyruvic acid salt by conjugating with lactic acid dehydrogenase and converting the produced pyruvic acid salt to a compound other than lactic acid salt. The enzyme capable of eliminating the lactic acid dehydrogenase activity-inhibiting action using a pyruvic acid salt as a substrate is e.g. pyruvic acid kinase, pyruvic acid oxidase, etc.
