PURPOSE:To attain the learning of words as desired by a user by delivering the paragraph candidates in the order of longer stems of independent words in order to avoid such an inconvenient case where a paragraph having a long stem of an independent word is delivered with priority although a paragraph having a short stem of the independent word is already learn. CONSTITUTION:A learning word producing part 15 retrieves the homonym paragraph candidates for subject paragraphs stored in a paragraph candidate storing part 12 and defines the header length of the independent word of a paragraph having the longest stem of the independent word as the largest header length of the independent word among those paragraph candidates. This largest header length is compared with the header length of the independent word of a decided paragraph. If the header length of the independent word is equal to or larger than the largest header length, the learning is decided for the homonym words of an independent word dictionary 11. Then the stem part of the independent word of the decided paragraph is retrieved by the dictionary 11 through an independent word dictionary rewriting part 16. Then the learning word if existing in the group of homonyms is deleted and at the same time the using orders of the homonym groups are all rewritten so that the using order of the stem parts of the independent word of the decided paragraph is set to the original one. Then the dictionary 11 is replaced.
