PURPOSE:To reduce liquid crystal consumption easily and greatly and to reduce the cost of materials greatly by forming a bank from an injection hole to outside a cell. CONSTITUTION:The bank is formed from the injection hole to outside the cell and liquid crystal is pooled inside the bank and injected into the cell. Namely, a lower glass substrate 2 is made larger than an upper glass substrate 1, the bank is formed in the space by a gap seal 3, and a device is assembled; and the cell is evacuated and the liquid crystal 4 is pooled inside the bank and injected by putting the whole back to atmospheric pressure. Thus, the bank is formed from the injection hole to outside the cell to eliminate the sticking of liquid crystal on outside the cell during liquid crystal injection.
