PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent a vessel from being lowered in its temperature in utilization of a partition plate thereby to improve thermal force by disposing a heat shielding plate between a burner and the bottom part of the main body of the combustion unit. CONSTITUTION:A heat shielding plate 6 made of a metal is disposed between a burner 4 and the bottom part 1A of the main body 1 of a combustion unit and a metal-made heat transfer plate 7 of an arcuate section, which comes into contact with the outer periphery of a drum port 2A of a vessel 2 is formed on the side of an accommodation chamber 3 of the heat shielding plate 6 in a heat transferable manner. While burning, a plate 8 is heated and, at the same time, the heat shielding plate 6 is heated. The heat is transferred to the vessel 2 through a placing piece 23 of the heat transfer plate 7. For this reason, the vessel 2 can prevent the temperature thereof from being lowered by vaporizing heat and also the heat shielding plate 6 can prevent the bottom part 1A of the main body 1 of the combustion unit from being heated to a high temperature.
