PURPOSE:To form a rubber compsn. having good water-resistant adhesiveness and excellent adhesion to brass as well as org fibers, particularly RFL-treated org. fiber and other rubber, by blending a sulfur-vulcanizable raw rubber with silica, a resoricinol donor, a methylene donor and a sulfur-contg. org. compd. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. sulfur-vulcanizable raw rubber is blended with silica, a resorcinol donor, a methylene donor and 0.1-15pts.wt. sulfur-contg. org. compd. Preferred examples of the sulfur-contg. org. compd. are 6-R-2,4-di mercapto-1,3,5-triazine (wherein R is a group selected from the group consisting of mercapto, alkoxy, mono- or dialkylamino, mono- or dicycloalkylamino, mono- or diarylamino and N-alkyl-N'-arylamino groups).
