PURPOSE:To improve the safety of an electric appliance by incorporating a neon voltage detector in the electric appliance. CONSTITUTION:When an AC power source whose one terminal is grounded such as the commercial power source is used, the neon voltage detector 4 is incorporated in the electric appliance. Then a terminal 6 is touched with a hand, etc., to judge the ground from whether the neon voltage detector 4 illuminates or not, and then a connection with the power source is made, thereby improving the safety in the use of the electric appliance.
