PURPOSE:To enhance color reproductivity and to improve light fade balance by forming a silver halide emulsion layer containing a specified magenta coupler and a silver halide emulsion layer containing a specified cyan coupler and a specified compound as oil globules. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material has on a support the silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one of the magenta couplers represented by formula I (Z is a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to form an optionally substituted N-containing hetero ring; X is H or a substituent to be released by the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent; and R is H or a substituent), and the silver halide emulsion layer containing the cyan coupler represented by formula II, and the compound represented by formula III. Said magenta coupler is contained, preferably, in an amount of 1X10<-3>-1mol per mol of silver halide, said cyan coupler is contained, usually preferably, in an amount of 1X10<-3>-2mol per mol of silver halide, and said compound is added, preferably, in an amount of 1-1,000wt% of the total cyan couplers including this cyan coupler of formula II. |
