PURPOSE:To obtain high-Mn and -Al bronze combining excellent seizure resistance with high strength, by specifying Al, Mn, Fe, Si, and Ni components in copper. CONSTITUTION:This high-Mn and -Al bronze has a composition consisting of, by weight, 4.5-8.0% Al, 6.0-12.0% Mn, 2.0-4.5% Fe, 0.4-2.0% Si, 1.0-3.0% Ni, and the balance Cu and satisfying an inequality. This high-Mn and -Al bronze has a tensile strength as high as >=about 55kg/mm<2> and a ductility as high as >=about 15% elongation and is excellent in seizure resistance, so that it is widely applicable to power transmission parts and sliding parts for various industrial equipments.
