PURPOSE:To know the receiving of a CED signal without fail by providing a displaying means to inform of the receiving of the CED signal (called terminal identifying signal) from a receiving side. CONSTITUTION:An automatic receiving equipment 11 automatically receives a CNG signal (calling signal), changes over a changing-over switch 13 to a facsimile equipment 7 side, connects the facsimile equipment 17 to a line and sends a CED signal after 1.8-2.5sec. When the receiving side is manned, by hearing the CNG signal with a sound or executing the conversation with an operator at a transmitting side, the line is manually changed over from a telephone set 15 side to the facsimile 17 side, a CED signal is sent. When the CED signal is sent from a receiving side facsimile device 17, the CED signal is detected by a MODEM LS 15 of a transmitting side facsimile equipment 1. Then, a pilot lamp 7 lights up and the receiving of the CED signal is informed to the operator.
