PURPOSE:To prevent deteriorations of resolution, of color purity, and of the uniformity of a single color, and realize a high quality of reproduced picture, by furnishing permanent magnets to correct the landing angle of the electron beams at the right and left sides of a flat tube body. CONSTITUTION:Permanent magnets 9L and 9R for correcting the landing angle of electron beams are furnished attached each other or closely faced each other to the left side 1b and the right side 1c of a flat tube body 1 respectively. The magnets 9L and 9R are facing over at least all area in the vertical scanning direction of a phosphor screen 4, to prevent a deformation of the reproduced picture owing to their discontinuity. Furthermore, the magnetizing center lines is arranged to position on the straight line a to connect the centers P1 and P2 between the front panel 2 and the rear panel 3, along the whale length of the second and the third side planes 1b and 1c up to about the position of the deflection center on the side of the electron gun.
