PURPOSE:To make powder molding without cracking, deformation, etc., by embedding a core consisting of an elastic material in the elongated state into powder, coating the circumference with the elastic material and subjecting the powder to press molding. CONSTITUTION:The powder 1 of an iron alloy or ceramics, etc. is put into an elastic mold 2 having an elastic core 3 made of soft rubber, etc. and the mold is hermetically closed. The elastic core 3 is pulled in an axial direction and is preliminarily fixed. A water pressure is exerted to the mold in this state, then the powder is shrunk in the state of obviating the generation of slips among the elastic mold 2, the elastic core 3 and the powder 1 and the molding having no deformation such as bending is obtd. The sealing is easy and the taking-out of the elastic core 3 after molding is easy according to the above- mentioned molding method.
