PURPOSE:To achieve total automation and labor saving, by a method wherein roofing tile products being conveyed with the surface thereof horizontally upward at a fixed interval on a transportation conveyor are imaged by TV cameras and the images thereof are processed with a computer to determine continuously whether the products pass an inspection or not. CONSTITUTION:Light sources 6 and 6a and TV cameras 7 and 7a are set parallel with the roofing tile products 2 being conveyed with the surface thereof upward horizontally at a fixed interval on a transportation conveyer 1 as viewed behind in the ongoing direction thereof and in an elevation range of 10-80 from a position above the transportation conveyor and the roofing tile 2 are imaged by the TV cameras 7 and 7a. Then, the images are processed with a computer and the results are compared with a reference to determine the acceptance thereof. A signal is outputted indicating a reject and a rejected product is taken out by a reject take off unit 8 set successively.
