PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive and light weight camshaft by jointing a FRP cam member to a predetermined position of a FRP camshaft and covering the outer circumference integrally with a metallic member of proper material so as to provide a cam face. CONSTITUTION:A hollow camshaft 1 is injection molded with FRP and a cam face member 2 having specific cam profile and made of abrasion resistant metal is provided. A cam member 3 is injection molded with FRP of same material with the camshaft 1 between the cam face member 2 and the camshaft 1. A pin 4 is provided while penetrating through the cam member 3 and the camshaft 1 so as to couple them reliably. |
