PURPOSE:To decrease the impact of crushing and to reduce the size of a device by rotating a horizontal hollow pipe around the axial line thereof in the lower part of sintered cake, providing many crushing blades to the outside peripheral part of the hollow pipe and blowing air out of many blow ports. CONSTITUTION:Powder sintering raw materials are charged into a vertical type sintering machine to form a raw material layer. While the raw material layer is moved downward, air for sintering is ascended from below to sinter the raw materials. The sintered ore cake formed in such a manner is crushed from the bottom end by a crushing device to obtain the sintered ore product. The hollow shaft 25 rotating around the axial line O in the horizontal direction is provided as the crushing device for the above-mentioned sintering machine to the sintering machine body 1 and the many crushing blades 28 which generate cracks in the sintered one cake and crush the same by rotating together with the hollow shaft 25 are projectingly provided to the outside peripheral part of said shaft. The air for sintering introduced into the hollow shaft 25 via introducing means 29 is blown out of the plural air blow ports 34 penetrated through and formed to the peripheral part of the hollow shaft 25 into the sintering machine body 1. The sintered ore cake is thus crushed by the small impact force and the stable operation condition is continued; in addition, the size of the device is reduced.
