PURPOSE:To obtain a recombinant-type human interleukin-2 (rIL-2) crystal having remarkably improved purity and stability and useful for the prevention and remedy for tumor and remedy for immune depression diseases, etc., by adding a water-soluble substance to an rIL-2 solution having high concentration and composed mainly of water. CONSTITUTION:An rIL-2 solution having a concentration of as high as >=0.05(w/v)%, preferably >=0.1% and composed mainly of water is added with a water-soluble substance such as organic solvent (e.g. methanol), polymeric compound (e.g. polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 2,000-8,000) or preferably a salt (e.g. sodium chloride, ammonium sulfate, etc.) to decrease the solubility of rIL-2 and precipitate rIL-2 crystal. The amount of the water-soluble substance added to the solution is preferably 8-15% for salt, 20-30% for organic solvent and 5-10% for polymeric compound in terms of final concentration. The substance is preferably maintained at 4-9pH and 0-50 deg.C. |
