PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of the ink used for recording in relation to the decrease in the volume of an ink cavity and to enable a good supply of ink drip, by a method wherein a pluraltiy of ink nozzles connecting to ink cavities aligned in a plurality of lines are provided on the surfaces of piezoelectric body plates and a plurality of ink supply ports are formed in cover plates thereon. CONSTITUTION:In a recording head until 40 of a first stage, a cover plate 26 is provided with an ink supply port 36 and an ink supply chamber 38 connecting to the ink supply port 36 is formed in a surface plate 32 and an ink supply chamber 38 for a recording head unit 42 of a second stage is formed in a piezoelectric body plate 10. Similarly, in the recording head unit 42 of a second stage and a recording head unit 44 of a third stage, cover plates 26 are provided with ink supply ports 36 in the areas of ink nozzles 24. An ink in an ink cavity 12 flows through the ink nozzle 24 with the jet of an ink in the ink supply chamber 38 through the ink supply port 36 because the pressure goes negative at the sde of the ink nozzle 24. Additionally, since the number of the ink supply ports 36 connected to the ink cavity 12 is only one, the change in the volume of the ink cavity 12 is effectively used for forming of an ink drip.
