PURPOSE:To measure shearing adhesive strength accurately by placing a load on the top and reverse surfaces of a test-piece of multilayered constitution perpendicularly and also placing opposite-directional loads on an upper and a lower layers between which an adhesion part to be tested is sandwiched respectively in parallel to the adhesion surface. CONSTITUTION:The test-piece 10 of multilayered constitution is mounted on a fixed pedestal 11 and the raw material end surface of the lower layer of the test-piece 10 between the supper and lower layers between which the adhesion part to be tested is sandwiched is brought into contact with the step 12 of the pedestals 11. Then, a load is placed from below the pedestals 11, a specific verticals load is placed on the surface of the test-piece 10 clamped between the pedestal 11 and a drawn-out bar 14, and a drawing-out mechanism 17 moves the bar 14. At this time, a step 15 on the reverse surface of the bar 14 abuts on the raw material end surface of the upper layer of the test-piece 10 and the bar 14 is so moved as to place opposite-directional loads on the raw material of the upper layer and the raw material of the lower layer abutting on the step 12 in parallel to the adhesion surface. Consequently, shearing deformation occurs to the adhesion part of the test-piece 10 to be tested, so the drawn-out load and the quantity of movement of the bar 14 are measured by measuring instruments to measure the shearing adhesive strength of the test-piece 10 accurately.
