PURPOSE:To obtain the strong joint of pile head and slab by a method in which concentric reinforcing bars are buried to form a steel fibre-reinforced precast concrete socket, and the socket is fitted on the head of a pile to construct a foundation slab. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing bar 3 is formed by assembling annular reinforcing bars 3a and 3c set concentrically, widthwise reinforcing bars 3b, and axial reinforcing bars 3d. The bar 3 is buried in steel fibre-reinforced concrete to form a socket C, and the socket C is fitted on the head of a pile A. Concrete is placed to the surrounding of the socket C to construct a foundation slab B. Even when horizontal forces of earthquake, etc., occurs, the socket C can resist tensile stress generated in the foundation slab B to prevent the breakage of the joint between the pile A and the slab B.
