PURPOSE:To prevent the life of electrical contacts from being shortened, by providing a mixture of 2-ethyl-3-hydroxy-4-pyrone in and around electrical contacts such as a switching contact structure. CONSTITUTION:A small-sized motor is composed of a rotor core 18 secured to a rotating shaft 6 and a field magnet 19 fixed to the interior of a motor case 20. This motor is equipped with a brush 13 and a commutator segment 4 as electrical contacts and a commutator pedestal 5. At this moment, felt 16 impregnated with 2-ethyl-3-hydroxy-4-pyrone as chemical is provided inside the case 20. Thus this chemical is absorbed into the surfaces of the brush 13 and the segment 4 as electrical contacts to form the monomolecular film, so that the lubricating ability can be improved and the abrasion of contacted portion reduced.
