Device for fastening a plastic bail (arched handle) on the hoop of a metallic package. The invention relates to a device for fastening a bail (arched handle) made from plastic on the hoop of a metallic or plastic package so that it slides in the fastening and turns on the journal 2. It consists of a base 1 having barbs for assembly on the hoop by welding or adhesive bonding and of a journal 2 on which the cheek plate 4 is fitted and is held without oscillation via the tubular orifice forming the slide holding the bail (arched handle). The journal 2 is crimped on the cheek plate 4 in order to fasten the assembly. The device according to the invention is intended particularly for manufacturers of metallic or plastic packages. In the case of application to plastic hoops, it is secured thereto by dovetail fitting or by adhesive bonding. <IMAGE>
