PURPOSE:To improve the durability of the reflective surface of a reflecting mirror by forming a protective film on the surface of a colored film which is formed by anodic oxidation and constitutes the reflective surface. CONSTITUTION:The reflecting mirror 1 is made of an aluminum material 1a as a stock and an alumite film is formed on the surface thereof by an anodic oxidation method; further, the protective film 1d is formed on the reflective surface R formed by dyeing the film 1b with an org. dye 1c. Both the film 1b and the protective film 1d are constituted of alumina (Al2O3) and therefore, the protective film 1d has good affinity to the film 1b and is firmly stuck thereto. The injury of the org. dye 1c for coloration by the contact with other materials or the deterioration and color fading thereof by the contact with the outdoor air is prevented.
