A device for ordering meals and sequences of courses, which must be prepared in a kitchen or similar, has at least a combination of the following components: a) a table or other place for taking orders b) display devices which output an optical representation of specified meals or sequences of courses, and have a characteristic coding for the meal or sequence of courses which is displayed c) at least one selection unit, which is assigned to the table or place, every selection unit being equipped with a readiness display, an activation device and a data transmission device, and can be fitted with a removable display device so that it captures and passes on its coding d) at least one identification device for a person who makes the order e) a voucher output device f) a central memory and evaluation device. |
