METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FORMING PROTECTIVE LAYER ON INTERNAL SURFACE OF PIPELINE

A method of forming a protective layer on the internal surface of a pipeline consists in glueing to the internal surface of the pipeline (1) a flexible sleeve (2) one end (6) of which is turned inside out and fixed to the internal surface of the pipeline. While moving the sleeve (2) the latter is gradually turned inside out and pressed to the surface of the pipeline (1) by creating an overpressure in a chamber (11) constituted by the section of the sleeve turned inside out. A counterpressure is created in front of the sleeve in the course of its movement. Before the glueing of the flexible sleeve (2) the surface of the pipeline is treated with a solution of a known inhibitor. The glueing composition used may be a two-component glue, one component of which is pushed along the pipeline with the flexible sleeve and the other is fed, through the flexible sleeve, to the zone where the latter turns inside out.
