PURPOSE:To obtain a device which makes observation and analysis processing easy without converting picture data values, by adding selection designating data corresponding to plural display gradation conversion table memories to a picture storage memory. CONSTITUTION:A console panel 10 is provided with a display window changed operator 10A which changes the display window of pictures and an interesting are a ROI setter 10B like a track ball or a joystick which operates X and Y-direction positions for description of ROI on the picture, and operation states of them are read by a CPU 11. The CPU 11 sets picture data to a picture storage memory 12 and performs the analysis processing of this picture data. Conversion table data is set to a display gradation conversion table memory 13 in accordance with the operation of said operator 10A. Contents of the memory 12 consist of picture data bits D1-Dn and bits T1-Tn which select respective tables of the memory 13.
