PURPOSE:To improve the operation performance by reducing the ineffective stroke in the relation between the operation quantity of an operating body and the generated hydraulic pressure, in a brake device for supplying the operating pressure for a vacuum motor. CONSTITUTION:For the turning angle theta of a manually operated rake lever which is detected by a sensor 115, a controller 117 supplies an electric current of 0.35A at a stroke into the proportional solenoid of a control valve 1 within a range of theta=1deg. Further, within the range of direction of increase and decrease of the turning angle theta, the driving electric current of the proportional solenoid is controlled so that the reverse hysteresis characteristic different by 0.25A can be obtained. Thus, the relation between the generated hydraulic pressure for the turning angle theta of the manually operated brake lever is made free from hysteresis.
