PURPOSE:To obtain plural kinds of desired spectra from light beams from a light source which contains plural spectral components by arranging a rotatable condenser lens which has plural kinds of band-pass filters on the surface between the light source and an optical shutter member. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent tube 1 contains at least three kinds of spectra lambda1-lambda3. A light shield plate 2 cuts off excessive light so that the optical shutter member is irradiated with only light passed through desired band-pass filters. The condenser lens 4 having the plural kinds of band-pass filters 3a-3c formed on the surface is driven to rotate, so that a desired band-pass filter is selectable. Light beams emitted by the fluorescent tube 1 while converged by a condenser lens 4 are separated into desired spectral components, which irradiate, for example, an image sheet through the opening/closing operation of an optical shutter 5 which uses liquid crystal as an optical switching element.
