Immunotoxin having long-lasting action in vivo, consisting of a conjugate in which an antibody or antibody fragment is coupled, via a covalent structure containing a disulphide group, to the ricin A chain modified, for the purpose of endowing it with a long-lasting action in vivo, by oxidation of its glycoside units by the action of periodate ions and simultaneous blocking of the oxidation product by reduction to primary alcohol with cyanoborohydride ions.
