PURPOSE:To drive a pendulum rod at the pendulum center irrespectively of the setting angle of a clock body by suspending and supporting a pendulum driving base plate to the clock body and forming the abutting surface of a supporting part for the pendulum driving base plate and the clock body into a curved surface. CONSTITUTION:A pendulum driving base plate 10 is suspended and supported to a clock body 18 in such a way that the centroid thereof directs always in a perpendicular direction. The driving coil 16 provided to the plate 10 couples electromagnetically with a magnet 14 provided to a pendulum rod 12 and oscillates the rod 13. The abutting surface 18a' of a knife edge 18a of the body 18 supporting the plate 10 is formed into a curved surface so that, even when the body 18 is set obliquely in forward and backward directions, the rod 12 is supported satisfactorily to the plate 10. |
