PURPOSE:To prevent the completion of film winding from being misdetected by switching winding torque to a larger value unless a film is wound by a specific quantity within a specific time, and detecting the completion of winding of all frames when the film is still not wound by the specific quantity within the specific time. CONSTITUTION:When the film is not wound by a normal winding transmission system (transmission system having a small speed reduction ratio )4 having small torque, the transmission system is switched to the 2nd transmission system (transmission system having a large speed reduction ratio) 7 which has large torque to detect whether the film is wound or not. If the film is still not wound by the specific quantity within the specific time, it is judged finally that all frames are already fed. Consequently, the end of all film frames is prevented securely from being misdetected when the leading-out load of the film from a cartridge only increases in the middle and when a source voltage only drops, so that the winding end of all film frames is detected accurately.
