PURPOSE:To execute automatically a head saving program without fail before the power is cut off by executing the head saving program after the operator cuts off the switch and cutting off the power of a personal computer thereafter. CONSTITUTION:When the operator cuts off the switch 21, the potential of a base of a transistor (TR) 22 is lowered and the TR 22 is turned off. A power +12V is supplied to the collector of the TR 22 via a diode 35 from the power supply circuit 2, then a head saving instruction signal 26 goes to logical H, the signal interrupts a CPU 29 to raise the head saving program and a motor 16 is driven to move the head 4 to a landing shipping zone 12. When the head saving program is finished, the CPU 29 brings the head save end signal 25 to logical H for the output. An output of a NOR gate 24 goes to logical L, the current in a relay coil 36 is cut off to open a relay contact 28.
