PURPOSE:To interrupt the recording of the information only when an error is actually generated, by making it possible to judge that the error, when a tracking error signal is generated, is caused by whether a tracking error, or a flow on a track, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a tracking error signal exceeds a regulated value + or -V, an error detection circuit 13 supplies an error signal to a one-shot multivibrator 14 through an OR circuit 130. The multivibrator 14 outputs a one shot pulse to an information record prohibiting circuit 18 through a counter 15, and an OR circuit 140. The circuit 18 supplies a record prohibiting signal Si to a laser output switching circuit 19, and makes switch the output of a laser 1 to a low output for the reproduction of the information. During the time, the number of times of high frequency signals from a high frequency detection circuit 17 exceeding a regulated value Vc, is counted at the counter 15, and when the number of time A exceeds a setting value B, the record prohibiting signal is outputted from a comparator 16, recognizing that the information is already recorded on the track. When it is A<B, it is decided that the error is caused by the flaw, or a dust on the track, and the information is recorded again on the track at a time when the error signal from the circuit 13 is cancelled. |
