PURPOSE:The conveyor is equipped with carriers having steps for placing the lens material and for placing pressed lenses and the carrier is exchanged accord ing to the shapes of lenses whereby pressed lenses are stably conveyed for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION:The main parts of the conveyor 1 are composed of conveying magazines 19 and freely detachable carriers 22. The optical material 17 placed on the step 24 in the carrier 22 is conveyed, as it is heated in the oven 15, and pressed into a lens 18, when it reaches the press 12. The pressed lens 18 comes down along with the bottom tool 14 and is released from the top tool 13. When the bottom tool passes through the hole 23 in the carrier 22, the pressed lens 18 comes into contact with the step for placing the lens 25 and is released from the bottom tool 14. The pressed lens is stably placed on the step 25 and slowly sent into the gradually cooling oven 16. The carrier 22 is exchanged according to the shapes of lenses to be pressed. |
