<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the overheat of a motor by stopping the drive of the motor based on the opening or closing of a thermal switch detecting the temperature of the motor. CONSTITUTION:An electronic control means 14 controls the drive of a motor 12 in response to rotation torque signal values detected by torque detectors 15a, 15b. A steering shaft 11 is rotated by the rotating operation of a steering wheel and also by the rotating support of the motor 12. The drive of the motor 12 is stopped when the temperature of the motor 12 is increased to a preset value or more based on the opened or closed signal of a thermal switch attached to the motor 12.</p> |
