PURPOSE:To stably seal an acoustic insulating material only in a divided groove in an array type transducer by executing the sealing by using a optically- hardening resin and an optical mask similar to the shape of the array. CONSTITUTION:In the already machined divided groove, the acoustic insulating material such as microballoons are put in, and the surface is made flat with the plane of the array. Then the optically-hardening resin is applied on the plane to form a thin film. Next, the mask (c) of a shape similar to the shape of the array is overlayed on the said plane, and light is projected. Accordingly the resin on the divided groove is cured to seal the acoustic insulating material. Thereafter, a part to which unexposed part is not cured is removed by washing. After that, a matching layer or an acoustic lens is formed on the plane of the array.
