PURPOSE:To obtain stable performance free from stains by processing a silver halide color photographic sensitive material provided with at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a reflective support with a color developing solution containing substantially no benzyl alcohol but at least one of specified compounds. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photographic sensitive material provided with at least one silver halide emulsion layer on the reflective support is processed with the color developing solution containing substantially no benzyl alcohol but at least one of the compounds represented by formula I in which R1 is H, -CH2COOH, or a group of formula III; R2 is H or COOH; and Z is an atomic group necessary to form an aromatic ring. Said compound of formula I is, preferably, the compound represented by formula II in which R1 and R2 are same as in formula I; each of R3-R6 is -COOH, -SO3H, or the like; and n is 0 or 1. The color developing solution to be used contains an aromatic primary amine color developing agent, preferably, a p-phenylenediamine derivative, preferably, in an amount of 0.5-10g/l of the developing solution. |
