PURPOSE:To increase number of two-way communication per time slot by using a time slot used between other node stations and using an idle channel so as to apply 2-way communication. CONSTITUTION:Plural node stations (NS) 1-6 are connected by line multiplex loop pairs 11, 12 propagating a signal in opposite direction to each other. While the two-way communication is executed between the NS 1 and 2 and the NS 4 desires to make two-way communication with the NS 3, the NS 4 detects that the flag of time slot used by the NS 1, 2 is idle for both the loop transmis sion lines 11, 12, and sends a communication start signal addressed to the Ns 3 through the line 11. At the time no reply comes from the NS, the NS 4 gives up the acquisition of said time slot and uses the line 12 to sent the communica tion start signal again.
