摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of pieces of pin of an LSI constituting switches by constituting the switches as parallel switches which receive respective bits belonging to different time slots from a format converting circuit through respective time slots, and converts the bits and outputs them to an inverse conversion circuit. CONSTITUTION:The format conversion circuits 4a-4n convert an information transmission format from the first transmission format with which plural bits belonging to the same time slot are transmitted in parallel to the second format with which the respective bits of the digits corresponding to different plural time slots are transmitted in parallel. A signal line constituting an in-station highway 31a transmits in parallel the latter bits. The spatial switch 5 (5a-5n) to which the information bits are inputted in the unit at every time slot is constituted as a part of the LSI.
