PURPOSE:To precisely measure the temperature of the surface of a photosensitive body and to obtain a high quality electrophotography by specifying the thickness of a protective layer, forming or covering the surface of a temperature sensor with a material which has a low friction coefficient and is impervious to wearing due to the slide, and bringing it into contact with the surface of the protective layer of the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body 1 comprised by sequentially laminating a photosensitive layer 1b and a nonprotective layer 1c on a rotatable supporting body 1a, a heater 2 installed below the body 1, and the temperature sensor 3 fixed by a mechanical means so that it can contact the surface of the protective layer 1c are provided. A tape-like member 4, which has a low friction coefficient and heat resistance and is impervious to wearing due to the slide, is installed between the temperature sensor 3 and the photosensitive body 1 so that their abrasions can be sufficiently prevented at the time of sliding. The number 4 wraps the temperature sensor 3 and covers its surface. The thickness of the protective layer 1c is set to a range of 0.2-2.0mum. Thus the temperature of the surface of the photosensitive body can be correctly measured, and the high quality electrophotography can be obtained accordingly. |
