PURPOSE:To easily move an extension number to an optional telephone set by providing a memory storing the correspondence between an extension number and a telephone number, a means inputting extension number information from the telephone set and a means storing the inputted extension number information in the memory. CONSTITUTION:The memory storing the correspondence between the extension number and the allocated position of the telephone set expands the 1st table in the 1st digit DC0 of the extension number, the head address ADRS of the 2nd table is written in the table, the 2nd table is expanded by the 2nd digit DC1 of the extension number and the head address ADRS of the 3rd table is written in the table and the 3rd table is expanded by the 3rd digit DC2 of the extension number. In lifting up the transmitter-receiver of a telephone set to which an extension number is desired to be given, an extension number registration special number is dialed and a special call tone is listened to, then the extension number to the specified is dialed. When the registration is finished, the service specific tone is listened to and the transmitter-receiver is hooked on. In this case, when the allocated position of the telephone set is EN0 and the inputted extension number is 345, the allocated position information EN0 is written in a location where the number 345 is expanded in the numbering table.
