PURPOSE:To automate the titled device and improved working efficiency by a method wherein a decorative rubber droop detecting means are provided between a cooling unit and a take-up unit and between a sheet laying unit and a reeling unit to control the droop of the decorative rubber during conveying it. CONSTITUTION:A droop detecting means 22 is provided between a cooling unit 6 and a take-up unit 8. This droop detecting means 22 is arranged at the outlet port side of the cooling unit 6 and is constituted of a contactor 23, contacting with the surface of a decorative rubber, and a swing arm 24, bearing the contactor 23 swingably. This contactor 23 swings in accordance with the degree of droop of the decorative rubber 2 and detecs the droop of the decorative rubber 2, sent out of the cooling unit 6. A signal from the droop detecting means 22 is transmitted to the driving motor M1 of the take-up unit 8 to control the driving motor M1 while the take-up unit 20 takes up the decorative rubber 2 having a given droop from the cooling unit 6 and sends out it to a next process with a conveying belt 18d.
