PURPOSE:To match the tip of a picture on a photosensitive drum with the tip of recording paper by starting the operation of a paper feeding means by a VSNY signal in a printer and starting the operation of a timing roller after a prescribed time elapses based on the VSYN signal as a reference. CONSTITUTION:A timer TA starts its count based on the VSYN signal in a controller 1, reading is started after the count end of a set time TA, a SENA signal is generated and as VIDEO (picture) signal is sent in synchronism with each LNEN signal and the recording in the printer is started. On the other hand, a paper feeding motor operation signal MO rises in the printer based on the VSYN signal, the paper feeding motor starts its operation to supply the recording paper to the timing roller. A timer TB starts counting at the same time, and after the end of count of the setting time TB, a timing roller operating signal TML rises, the timing roller stars turning and the recording paper is fed toward the photosensitive drum. Thus, it is possible to match the tip of the picture formed by the VIDEO signal with the tip of recording paper to be transferred accurately.
